Whitchurch named in under 20 Origin
Aaron Whitchurch's fine start to the Intrust Super Cup season with the Village Motors Redcliffe Dolphins has seen him rewarded with selection in the Queensland under 20 side to take on New South Wales this Saturday.
The Broncos contracted player has been in fine form in Queensland's premier competition, catching the eye of Queensland under 20s coach Kevin Walters and state selectors.
Whitchurch, who has been playing centre and wing as well as spending time in the second row for the Dolphins has been selected on the wing for the state side.
His wing partner for the Maroons is Dolphins junior Heymel Hunt who is playing in the national under competition for the Gold Coast Titans.
Also named on the bench is Corey Oates, he played several trials for the Dolphins colts before forcing his way into the Broncos 20s side.
This Saturday's match will be played at Penrith's Centrebet Stadium. Kick-off is 7.30pm.
