More TV time for Dolphins

 

If fans of the Village Motors Redcliffe Dolphins can't make it to away games they will have two opportunities to see their side on television in the next six weeks.

 

The Dolphins round seven match against Wynnum Manly at Kougari Oval and round nine clash against Tweed Heads from Piggabeen Complex have been marked down as Channel nine games.

 

Channel 9's coverage of the Intrust Super Cup is proving to be a massive hit with sports fans across Queensland.

 

The premiership opener between Wynnum Manly and Tweed Heads attracted nearly 50,000 metropolitan viewers, a figure well up on the corresponding match last year.

 

Ratings from Round 2 and 3 matches have also been impressive, with league fans enjoying the traditional Sunday afternoon timeslot led by commentators Andrew Voss and Ben Ikin.

 

Meanwhile, the Queensland Rugby League has also announced a partnership with Imparja which will see the Intrust Super Cup televised live throughout rural and remote Queensland from this weekend.

 

In a further coup, the coverage of Queensland's premier rugby league competition will also reach the Northern Territory, country New South Wales and small parts of South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.

 

"Imparja is delighted that we have the opportunity to present the Intrust Super Cup throughout our footprint of six States and Territories," said Imparja program manager Joya Bryan.

 

"We are very confident that our Queensland viewers, expat Queenslanders and all rugby league lovers alike will be pleased by this announcement."
