Vale Bob Crossley

 

The Village Motors Redcliffe Dolphins would like to pass on its condolences to the family and friends of Bob Crossley.

 

Bob began his work for the club as bar manager at the old club at the Redcliffe Showgrounds, a position he held for a number of years.

 

When the senior club took over the running of the juniors in 1980 Bob was the man the club went to when looking for a junior co-ordinator. 

 

Along with coaching director Brian Winney the pair ran the juniors for several years.

 

He was also groundsman for a while and worked on the door of the club disco's in the 80's.

 

Dolphins General Manager Tony Murphy said Bob was a fantastic worker for the club and that his contribution will never be forgotten.

 

"Our club has been very fortunate to have had great leaders like Tosser Turner and Des Webb but they couldn't have done what they did without workers like Bob," he said.

 

Bob Crossley Rest in Peace.
